Meditative Activities

So what is the difference between meditation and meditative activities?  A meditative activity is when you are still actively using your body in some way but are focused on the mindfulness of the activity. A walking meditation as example, is actually a meditative activity. When you are focused and mindful of every movement as well as observing (no judgement, etc) your thoughts and feelings about each step, your enviroment, etc. this practice can really help you in becoming more aware, relaxed and calm.

Coloring as a meditative activity can relax you and clear your mind. After you have been coloring for a bit, take notice through self observation and you may be well suprised how much better you feel through this process, It is amazing.

However, as one my teachers, Savitri explained; After a meditive activity please take at least five minutes to sit and meditate…if you don’t it’s like preparing a fantastic meal and never sitting down to enjoy it!

A special heartfelt thanks to Sandra K` and Tracy K` for the great idea to create these coloring pages from my Sacred Truth Cards.

”Dear Sandra;                                                                                                                                                                    Thank you so much for the wonderful cards, they are beautiful – in fact, I carry one in my purse and I read it when I feel I need to center myself! So you are continually helping me throughout this bumpy road that I’m traveling right now and for that I truly thank you!!  I received the coloring pages and enjoyed coloring them during my last chemo treatment.  The coloring helped me to stay in the now as I focused on the words. In fact, it prompted me to journal more thoughts, which really helped to put my mind at ease. I am very grateful for your thoughtfulness and kindness! The next time I have a treatment, I am going to share your magical coloring pages with the folks who are there getting treated as well. It’s relaxing and I think it helps!!  Thank you for thinking of me…it makes me feel loved and warm and fuzzy all over!!!! ; )

With love and gratitude, Tracy xo”
